What is First Night?

First Night is an alcohol-free Celebration of New Year's Eve through the Arts.

Not only can you enjoy 9 hours of unequaled entertainment, you can enjoy the safe surroundings of beautiful downtown Westport while you walk in the town's holiday atmosphere. Or you can also choose to ride the free shuttle buses between the venues.

You are sure to meet neighbors and make new friends.

An extra added attraction is the biggest warming bonfire of the year, located on Jessup Green along the banks of the Saugatuck River.

There is just no better way to say goodbye to the year past and hello to the year ahead.

When is the First Night celebration?

New Year's Eve, Monday December 31, 2007. The celebration/entertainment begins at 3PM and ends with the Midnight Fireworks at 12:00 AM on January 1, 2008

How much does it cost and where can I buy a button?

$10 web special through November 30.
(BUTTONS are easy to purchase on this website)

Online website purchases through E-tix will result in a print-at-home voucher to be redeemed for a BUTTON at the event

BUTTON SALE SCHEDULE ON DAY OF THE EVENT, Monday December 31, 2007:

12:00 Noon at the Westport-Weston YMCA, 59 Post Road East
3:00 PM at all 15 venues

E-TIX VOUCHER HOLDERS CAN REDEEM THEIR VOUCHER FOR BUTTONS:
Anyone holding a print-at-home voucher from your online E-tix purchase can exchange the voucher for your
buttons at the Westport-Weston Family Y, 59 Post Road East, on Monday Dec. 31st starting at 2 PM

The First Night Button Is Your Entrance Ticket to All Venues from 3 Pm To Midnight.

Where do I park?

There is ample free public parking. See the Official Entertainment Guide or the map on this website for parking locations. All municipal lots are available for parking in addition to the lots at Saugatuck Elementary School and Saugatuck Congregational Church.

Is there trasportation between venues?

Yes, there will be free shuttle bus service that goes from Jesup Green stopping at all venues.

Are the venues handicapped accessible?

The venues are handicapped accessible with the exception of the Seabury Center.

Are there rest rooms at the venues?

Yes, there are rest room facilities at each venue.
